Jacqueline Fernandez came a long way from Sri Lanka to India to earn a career in the Hindi film industry. One of the most trusted and banking actresses today, she has a huge fan base due to her on-screen performances, dance moves and humble nature.
The actress’ gave back to the society by doing philanthropic work on an individual level. She has always wanted to start a foundation that would support her charitable activities and two months ago she started her own Yolo Foundation.
The actress took this action during the second wave peak of the Kovid-19 epidemic. The foundation on its inauguration aims to fulfill three goals – distributing 1 lakh meals a month to people in distress, distributing masks to police, masking sanitizers and feeding stray animals. In addition, the actress distributed raincoats to Pune and Mumbai police to deal with unexpected unpredictable showers during the epidemic.
Jacqueline individuals, through the Yolo Foundation, have provided assistance to organizations working for Kovid relief and have also donated to the collection of oxygen cylinders. Organized food donation drives outside KEM Hospital in collaboration with the Roti Bank Foundation, performing yoga with NGO girls on the occasion of International Yoga Day. All in all, the Jacqueline With Yolo Foundation team aims to build a kindness brigade that will spread kindness to the community during such difficult times.
Some of the idealistic, selfless deeds done by the actress in the span of just two months have gone a long way. Feeding millions, thinking about those who protect us at night, is some of the admirable work done by the voiceless Yolo Foundation on the streets. We really need more people like Jacqueline Fernandez, she really believes in ‘You Only Live Once’, and everyone should spread positivity, kindness and give back to society as much as possible.
